20 Hz by Semiconductor (Ruth Jarman and Joe Gerhardt)
20 Hz observes a geo-magnetic storm occurring in the Earth’s upper atmosphere. Working with data collected from the CARISMA (Canadian Array for Realtime Investigations of Magnetic Activity) radio array and interpreted as audio, we hear tweeting and rumbles caused by incoming solar wind, captured at the frequency of 20 Hertz.
“Trilling” by Catherine Ross.
“Trilling scrolls right to left across the screen, recombining footage from the early 80’s television program ‘Three’s Company’ into a sequence of traveling gestural loops.” Featuring Taylor Haskins on trumpet.
Polaroid photographs of the sky are arranged on a grid. Each Polaroid has electric wire in its image by Katsuhiro Saiki.
